The digital SAT Math section
The SAT went fully digital in 2024, and the Math section changed with it.
Two adaptive modules
Performance on the first Math module determines whether the second module is easier or harder. Strong students must reach the harder second module to access higher scores.
Desmos calculator
Desmos is available throughout the entire Math section as a built-in graphing calculator, which is a powerful tool that can save you a lot of time, if you are proficient at it.
Time management
Each math module is 35 minutes and consists of 22 questions. Pacing and knowing when to bookmark and return are extremely crucial.

Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem Solving & Data Analysis, and Geometry & Trigonometry.

I earned a perfect 800 on the SAT Math section and have been tutoring math for over 15 years. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and have taught at the high school and middle school levels, so I know not just how to solve the problems, but how to explain them in a way that actually makes sense.
My approach is simple: a mini-lesson, a few examples, and guided practice. I ask questions throughout to check for understanding and make sure concepts are being mastered, not just memorized. Every session is customized to your child's goals, pace, and weaknesses.
